Sometimes menopausal symptoms can be brought on due to adrenal fatigue. Adrenal fatigue is the result of long term/multiple stressers which results in drains on every other organ in the body, affecting your endocrine, hormonal and many other body systems. Basically, the ongoing level of stress causes the focus of the body into fight/flight response in the adrenals, shutting down or lessening many of the other productive systems within the body. Since the stress is ongoing, with little or no opportunity to rebalance the body chemistry and the other body systems become depleted with symptoms ranging from fatigue, to allergies, respiratory illness, deperession, weight gain, lethargy, and more, This can also result in abnormal cortisol levels which symptomatically result in some extra weight gain -- especially around the middle. Check with your Dr. and have a saliva test done (blood test results will only reveal an extreme case, and you may be dismissed as a result) for your hormone/cortisol levels. If you are using progesterone cream or any other other transdermal supplement, it will skew the results of the tests. As to how taking Amberen affects those levels, I cannot say, and would recommend that you check with them regarding this issue at www.amberenonline.com. For more info on Adrenal Fatigue check out www.adrenalfatigue.org/

Dear Tina;
Well, I am taking it again after way too long of an interim in between. i will post more as I go.

As to your situation, do check your instructions and feel free to contact the site with any questions you may have. They have been very helpful to me. www.amberenonline.com/

As I remember from my instructions, if you are experiencing symptoms returning and you are still using the product (should be three months on and three months off), then double your dose daily -- 2 red and two white and see how that works for you. Write back and let me know how you are doing.

Hello again! I hope these blogs become active again…. I am in my 6th week and the hot flashes are coming back and the nite sweats are affecting my sleep again…. what is going on?? Is the Amberen stimulating to another level?– to actually eliminate for good?? and what about the rapid weight gain how long before this disappears??

I honestly did not know/expect spotting to be part of this. Just glad hot flashes almost non-existant. I am also glad to be able to sleep and do have way more energy. love it. two months into this. glad I stumbled upon this product. One of my coworkers opted for HRT, she has noticeable weight loss, still waiting for mine (going to gym 3x week)

This is very true. I am one for whom the jury is still out on hormone replacement therapy, and unwilling to deal with the risks as long as there are other options. This herbal approach appeals to me because it stimulates my own system to respond more naturally, with my own body intelligence channelling the outcome.
